moonlightknight5: would different FTP programs run faster then others?
i am looking at cute-ftp, filezilla, and of course i already have windows xp FTP already set up. i was just wondering about the upload speed.

No, not really however I have noticed that some FTP software does not handle uploading small files very well. I really have had good luck with WinSCP. It’s fast and supports both SCP and SFTP which are secure versions of FTP.

You can try smart FTP. I used first filezilla but for large file and low speed or something around this it doesn’t work properly and breakup the line then i try smart FTP and it work great.
